Anytime I can get outside and experience uncharted territory, I can guarantee I’m going to have a great time. Pair that with immersive experiences, historic storytelling, and a little relaxation, I most likely will come home with a new favorite destination. I had the opportunity to explore the country of Norway with my husband and four kiddos a couple years ago. It checked ALL my boxes and then some! Breathtaking fjords, glacial lakes, & snow capped mountains served as the backdrop. We felt as if we had been plopped down inside a storybook as we ventured from village to village, fishing, hiking, rafting, & learning about local culture. Maybe because I’m the daughter of a farmer, my favorite day just so happened to be the day we worked, played and ate on a Norwegian family’s farm. It was different from my own father’s farm, I mean it was located on THE SIDE of a mountain for goodness sakes… but I quickly saw so many ways my father in Tennessee was connected to this farmer living over 4,000 miles away. As you can tell, my family enjoyed our time in Norway, but we also flew home changed by what we saw, learned and experienced. This is what exceptional travel looks like.
I am in constant awe of the beautiful world our Creator made. . . When I travel, I come to the realization of just HOW SMALL I AM in contrast to our MASSIVE world carved out by a living God. Nothing puts life into perspective for me like standing beside a majestic mountain, feeling the coolness of fresh running water, tasting the salt in the ocean, or smelling real pine for the first time. Yet, as vast as this planet is, I am always reminded of how interconnected the people living here are. There’s nothing more beautiful than people of different cultures coming together, sharing cuisines, art & stories. Travel comes with a deep feeling of unity, an appreciation and love for my neighbor. . . as it should.

Travel is a time set aside to relax and recharge. This can mean sitting on your verandah listening to the ocean brush against your cruise ship, sitting under an umbrella on a beach while your butler brings your favorite fruity drink, wandering Main St. shops, or playing in a theme park from open until close. Travel lets you escape your everyday routine to explore someplace completely new, or to revisit your happy place. You can try new foods, experience new cultures, and gain new perspectives. Travel means new memories to cherish and stories to tell for years to come.
I've had many wonderful vacations I could list here, but one that sticks out happened in the mid 90s. Like almost all of my pre-Walt Disney World vacations (as a kid), my sister and I would spend the night at my Grannie's house. My Dad would rest and my Mom would finish packing. Of course, we were too excited to sleep! My parents would pick us up, Grannie included, and Daddy would drive all night to Florida. We stopped at the Welcome Center for free FL Orange Juice and headed "home", which was the Contemporary Resort. I don't remember much from the parks, but I remember all the family fun we had; riding Splash Mountain for the first time, watching SpectroMagic parade in Magic Kingdom and then riding the monorail back to the resort in time to watch the Electrical Water Pageant from our balcony, jumping up and down on the beds with excitement overflowing from the day and looking forward to what was to come. After our week at WDW, we went to Cocoa Beach for a few days before driving back home, refueled and full of new memories.

Traveling with my babies has opened up a world I didn’t know existed. The best part of a vacation for me is seeing my kids experience new places. I feel so blessed to be able to show the world to them. There is something magical about a child seeing the ocean and touching the sand for the first time. Travel allows rest and connection, but it also provides the sweetest memories that will last forever.
I recently was able to see my two littles precious faces as they experienced Disney World for the first time. I know it’s cliche to say, but the trip was magical. My daughter was five and my son was almost three, every little detail of the trip was so special to them. One moment I’ll never forget was in Magic Kingdom as my daughter walked proudly through the park in her Rapunzel dress. We came to the Town Square to eat at Tony’s and all the princesses were on the balcony. My little girl lit up and had to run and twirl for Rapunzel. Rapunzel looked right at her and blew her a kiss and I turned into a puddle on the street. It was so sweet and such a special moment for her, I was overwhelmed with emotion. There were many moments on that trip that were so sweet but my girl twirling with Rapunzel was my favorite.

My favorite vacation is any vacation I get to take with the people I love most. I have great memories of exploring Yellowstone National Park, touring historic St. Augustine, and that first trip to Florida, experiencing thrills at Universal Studios, but currently my favorite has been a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas concluding with a magical trip to Walt Disney World.
Recently, I have come to realize that travel is more to me than just taking a trip somewhere, it means being able to live out a scripture verse that the Lord gave to me a long time ago: “Be still and know that I am God” Psalm 46:10.
So, you may wonder how I have learned to be still whether I am sailing on a Disney Cruise ship, relaxing on an island in the Bahamas, adventuring out west in Montana, exploring the west coast of California, learning new cultures throughout the world, or even experiencing thrills in beautiful sunny Florida at a theme park. When I travel, I am freed from the distractions of the everyday stressors of life. The “real me” gets to emerge, and I am free to explore new ideas and interests, engage in new experiences, and “be still” in the beauty and opportunities the Lord has given me. Travel is the gift of making memories to last a lifetime.

The best thing about travel for me is ...ALL OF IT!!! I love the planning stages where we finally decide where to head to next. I love the anticipation of the departure date slowly approaching. I love being released from the day to day norms and exploring all new things or just heading back to some of my favorite locations. Travel is a great escape and simply a time to relax and step away from the busyness of life. I love making forever memories with my family and seeing the experiences through my children's eyes. Travel allows you to be able to see and experience so much of God's creations. It allows you to sample local flavors, feel your toes in the sand, and rub shoulders with those in the big cities. No matter where I travel I know that I will have those memories that will last a lifetime!
Trying to pick a favorite vacation is hard, there are not many that I haven't enjoyed. My favorite getaway with my husband has been Hawaii. It was a really last minute trip for our anniversary but one we will never forget. Hawaii is so unique and beautiful, it is like visiting another culture without leaving the country. The hiking trails leading to waterfalls to the secluded, tucked away, hidden beaches, there is just so much to take in!
My other 1st place vacation would definitely be our family trip sailing with Disney Cruise Line. With four kids spanning from toddler to teanagers there was just nothing better for pleasing the whole crew. There is just something "magical" about the advantages of a cruise combined with Disney's above and beyond service.

Travel to me, is about breaking away from the everyday chaos and experiencing other places, cultures and food all while making lifelong memories. There's nothing more important to me than experiencing new places with my family. They may not remember a gift I gave them 2 years ago, but you better believe they are going to remember the trips we take.
When I think of all the places I've been, I always go back to our first trip to Disney World as a family. My son, Brayden, was 4 years old and my daughter, Kaylen, was 8 months old. I will never forget the look on Brayden's face when we walked down Main Street and he saw the castle for the first time. There's nothing much better than experiencing the Magic that Disney World has to offer. Since, we have made it a tradition to travel to Disney World every other year with my sister and family.

To me, travel is about exploring, discovering, relaxing and connecting. I want to explore places I've never been and walk in the footsteps of history or discover a whole new part of the world that I was unaware of before. Sometimes I just want to relax and connect with those I'm traveling with in a new way, whether it's my family or friends. At the end of any trip, I want to have made cherished memories and return home with a new sense of appreciation for God's creation & blessings.
I would have to say that my favorite vacation so far is when my mom and I traveled to Iceland. We rented a car and drove ourselves around the country to see the breathtaking waterfalls and scenery. Part of the trip, we were our own tour guides driving and stopping where we wanted, taking our time to absorb the jaw dropping beauty of the country. We also did a few private tours to explore more in depth. Some of these included riding snowmobiles on a glacier that was featured in a James Bond movie, a helicopter tour over a volcano, and whale watching in a small raft boat where we got close enough to a blue whale to be "sneezed" on. The country of Iceland was magnificent to see and experience, and it created so many wonderful memories for my mom and I to enjoy.

My name is Cathie Burnham I am from Provo, Utah. My love of travel came when I was small child. I can remember being 8 or 9 and telling my mom I was going to be a flight attendant (stewardess in those days) because I wanted to travel the world. And lucky for me, I have been able to travel quite a bit of it.
It would be hard to pick one favorite vacation. I love any Disney destination. Whether it’s a cruise, hotel, beach or theme park, Disney just does it right.
I love Yellowstone. Few things beat the beauty of our first National Park. Outside of the United States, I love Ireland. What a gorgeous country! I like to say travel is in my blood. For me the destination is always great to be at, but sometimes the journey to the destination creates the most memories. I would love to help your family create memories of your own.

For me, travel is a way to escape the everyday and explore new and exciting things. If we are traveling as a family, or a group, we have the chance to step away from our busy schedules and spend intentional time together, growing our sense of adventure, making memories, and expanding our kids' horizons. If we are traveling as a couple we have the much needed opportunity to spend quality time together, without interruption. We get to remember how to have fun together, we enjoy amazing food, and enjoy some adventure that sits outside the boundaries of our everyday lives. When we get the chance to travel with other couples we have time to grow lasting friendships and bond through adventures, toasting great cocktails, and having fireside chats. No matter who we are traveling with, or where we are traveling, we are making memories that we will talk about for years to come. They may even be brought up at our funerals if we're lucky! Life feels full, extraordinary, and incredibly blessed whenever we can add travel into the mix.
My favorite vacation was actually a very simple, but meaningful, trip through Missouri wine country with my husband and a group of our friends. We stayed in a quaint bed and breakfast where we each had our own beautiful rooms with big beds and clawfoot bathtubs. We enjoyed amazing food, meandered through wine trails, sampled award winning wines, stayed up late, laughed until our sides hurt, and slowly made our way back to reality and parenting. It was such a relaxing trip, and a much needed way to slow down for a little bit in the midst of these busy years of raising children and full schedules. I'd make another trip like it in a heartbeat, and likely will sooner rather than later.

To me, travel is not only an escape--it's a time to reconnect. In today's fast paced world, evenings and weekends aren't always enough to rejuvenate us. When we travel, we have time to reflect, dream new dreams or revisit forgotten ones, linger at dinner, look each other in the eyes, and truly listen. Travel doesn't have to mean exploring a brand new location--it can mean experiencing your favorite place in a new way or simply reveling in the comfortable familiarity of a place that holds your favorite memories. However, travel can also mean visiting those places you've only dreamed about--lounging on a beach in the Caribbean sun, climbing a volcano in Hawaii, sailing around the Mediterranean while exploring Greece and Italy, or marveling at the majesty of the Grand Canyon. Travel is not just where you go, but who you're with.
My family are always my favorite traveling partners and my favorite vacations are our trips to Walt Disney World. Disney World is one of those places that you can visit over and over, but have a completely different experience each time. We enjoy trying new resorts, dining at restaurants we've never tried, and experiencing new attractions and events. Being together in a place that's so family friendly with something for every age group creates a family vacation like no other. As soon as we drive through those Disney arches, the years melt away and my husband and I feel like kids again, giddy and excited to see Mickey and the gang. The more we go to Disney World, the less we schedule--and we like it that way! We let the day take us where it will and I love the magic we find around every corner.

Travel to me is a chance for my husband and me to escape. Just like everyone else we are in the hectic, daily rush of the work a day world. Traveling allows us to disconnect (almost totally) from the norm and to reconnect, rest and recharge.
I am originally from Orlando, Florida and grew up on a lake. We took family trips to the beach regularly. This has made me a lover of the sun, sand and sea! I currently live in West Tennessee and have for a very long time. The cold, rainy winters we experience takes its toll. My ideal trip is to travel anywhere tropical, warm and sunny during the winter months. I enjoy the experience of traveling to different Caribbean resorts and islands, discovering what makes them unique and what sets them apart from each other.
My ideal day is finding the perfect lounger on the beach where I can read, people watch or just enjoy the beauty of the water while my husband finds the daily activity board to see what is on the agenda for the day. This could include trivia games, scavenger hunts, pool volleyball to tie dying. We always enjoy getting dressed in the evenings and trying out the different restaurants then end the day by enjoying the nightly featured entertainment.
